New Build Cottages - Salerno Lake, (Township of Minden Hills)

Civilogistics Inc. delivered full-scope site and structural engineering services for this contemporary lakeside retreat. Our work included detailed bylaw analysis, site planning, and geotechnical design for the slab-on-grade foundation, along with complete building and structural design.

This project required careful navigation of complex municipal bylaws and a multi-layered permit approval process. Working collaboratively with the client and ACM Designs Inc., we successfully guided the project from early feasibility through approvals and construction.

The finished result is a modern cottage with clean architectural lines, expansive glazing, and warm natural finishes—perfectly integrated into the rugged shoreline of Salerno Lake.

Cottage Additions – Lake Muskoka, (Town of Gravenhurst)

Civilogistics Inc. delivered complete planning, design, and structural engineering services for this substantial cottage addition on Lake Muskoka. Our bylaw analysis confirmed that a Minor Variance was required, and we coordinated the full application process—including preparation of supporting documents, committee hearing representation, and approval.

Working closely with the client and municipal planning staff, we developed a design that balanced the family’s need for additional space with strict zoning constraints related to maximum height, shoreline setbacks, and proximity to the high-water mark.

The project features an expansive great room, refined interior volumes, and a prominent fireplace, all integrated into a modern lakeside aesthetic. The result is a turn-key design that respects the site, meets regulatory requirements, and provides meaningful long-term functionality for a growing family.
